4 Days Safari - Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater And Tarangire

Day By Day Itinerary

We drive to Tarangire National Park in the morning from Arusha. Famous elephant herds and historic baobab trees can be found in Tarangire. This park is renowned for its abundance of wildlife and amazing birdlife. Leopards, giraffes, zebras, lions, and other wildlife can also be seen. We do a wildlife drive until late in the afternoon, after which we travel to Karatu for Octagon Lodge: overnight
At OCTAGON LODGE, you can stay.

We depart after breakfast to Serengeti via the Ngorongoro conservation area where we have a picnic lunch. We arrive for an afternoon game drive on the northern side of Serengeti, entering the park. Serengeti offers the most enthralling game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo and wildebeests, groups of elephant and giraffes, eland, impala and Grant’s gazelle, lions, leopards and many others. Dinner and overnight stay at the accommodation at TANZANIA BUSH LUXURY TENTED CAMP

Breakfast at around 0800am. Proceed with morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti with a lunch and leisure break at the Luxury tented camp in the mid afternoon. The term Serengeti means endless plains in Masai language. In the central plains there are carnivores like leopard, lion, hyena and cheetah. This park is normally the scene of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra that occurs between the Kenyan Mara and the Serengeti. Varied bird species can be seen here including eagles, ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis, stork, herons, kites, pelicans, cranes and guinea fowl. The Serengeti National park is a arguably the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world with over 3 million large mammals. About 35 species of plains animals can be seen there including the “big 5” - Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. Other common species found here includes hippo, giraffe, eland, impala and other antelope types, baboons, monkey and a profusion of over 500 species of birds. In May or early June, huge herds of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra begin their annual spectacular migration northwards. In their wake follow predators, lion, cheetah and wild dogs with vultures circling overhead! Come back to the Luxury tented camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we leave for a wildlife drive to the Ngorongoro crater with a picnic lunch prepared. You will be astounded by the abundance of animals that comes very close to the vehicle in this true Eden. More than 25000 large mammals, including the last few Black Rhinos, Zebras, Gnus, Gazelles, Buffalos, Lions, Hippos, Elephants, Elands, Hyenas, and some aquatic birds live on the crater floor. We spend the day exploring the crater before making our way back to Arusha, where you may catch your flight to Zanzibar or home.
